Przekaż informację zwrotnąHubs really wanted a danish today so we went hunting for a place to grab one. Hubs actually found Rivermill Bakery and showed me some pics, but I had to run over to yelp for a thorough look before grabbing our little one and getting in the car. Needless to say the reviews looked promising, so I happily made the trip. When we arrived to the shopping center we had no issue finding a parking spot. There was also a large iron table outside which would be nice to use to enjoy your treats al fresco if the weather is nice. It was very overcast the day we visited so we just took everything to go.The man that was assisting me was super nice. He literally tipped his hat off to me when he said hello and I swear I almost died it was the sweetest thing ever. He was kind and inviting and very patient with me. He answered all of my questions so nicely, too. He is provided one of the best interactions I 've had service wise in a very long time. I wanted to give him a big squeeze on the way out but my hands were full with all the baked goods I bought. It was a two hander, ya know?!We tried the following:Cheese Danish $3.49)Cherry Danish $3.49)Apple Danish $3.49)Carrot Cake $4.99)Honey Cake $4.99)Napoleon Cake $4.99)Chocolate Chip Cookie $1.99)The danishes were a bit stale around the edges. But the flavors were great and the fillings were lovely. I imagine heating them up a bit would liven them right back up. The cookie was to DIE for and massive. One of the better chocolate chip cookies I 've had. Really generous chunks of chocolate and great choices with the kind they used. Deep and rich, but not overdone or overpowering at all. Crisp around the edges and still moist and chewy. Cookie perfection! The cakes are all on the smaller side which I totally appreciate. Three in a row fit in a standard styrofoam container across and there was a little room on one side, and the entire bottom half almost was empty. You can have a sweet treat and not feel like you need a nap after if you have one of the cakes by yourself. That is of course if you aren 't me.. that left home with the entire bakery. In my defense, we didn 't eat everything in one sitting, obviously, but even a sample of 5 different things is still a lot, I know. Treat yo ' self, am I right?!The carrot cake blew us away! It was so warm with all the the spices it felt like a decadent hug. It was perfectly moist and the cream cheese frosting was perfection. It doesn 't look nearly as good as it tastes and I almost didn 't grab it, but I am so glad I did. It was both of our favorites! The honey cake was nice. Definitely different compared to a usual cake offering, which I very much appreciated, and it was expertly crafted. Lots of light and airy layers with sweet honey kissed everywhere. The carrot cake was still the star of the show for sure, but I really recommend trying this one, too. It is something you won 't be able to get most places and it really is lovely. The napoleon cake had great flavor, but I was expecting crunch in each bite and the layers were soft it was hard to eat without picking it up but it was so soft it seemed like it was intended to eat with a utensil? We really enjoyed it, nonetheless, just was a little surprised with the texture. Guess that 's why they call it napoleon CAKE.. totes my fault for expecting crunch! Honestly, this Rivermill Bakery is so sweet no pun intended. You can tell it is small and family run two things I adore about a business. It is quite far from where we live, but I imagine us taking the hike over again in the future, especially if we are over that way a bit. Please check out this little gem! I am absolutely looking forward to our next visit!
Just bought $20 of cupcakes(6). Awful, we couldn’t eat them. Icing tasted like it was either frozen/thawed, then used or just had cupcakes refrigerated toooooo long. Icing def tasted of refrigerator. Not good.
Outstanding bakery! Having lived in France as a child I am a croissant lover and these don’t disappoint if you like true European style goods. Great value and service as well!
Beautiful, impeccably clean cafe with outstanding fresh, home made bakery and excellent coffees. It is family--owned and run with care and pride. Service is excellent and we had a wonderful experience.
Everything about this place is excellent! The staff are super friendly, coffee is great, and pastries are amazing!
