The Cyclist - Sudbury

The Cyclist offers a unique experience with a straightforward menu featuring fantastic flavors. I started with the homemade chicken liver pâté served with toast, which was a delicious appetizer. This was followed by perfectly grilled steak and fries, and I ended with a light and delightful jam pudding. My friends also savored their affogato. Additionally, the establishment provides good quality beers and wines in a cozy atmosphere. I look forward to returning soon to enjoy the fondue and explore more of the wine selection.

We wanted to love the cyclists we really did, but unfortunately this disappointing experience has failed on several levels. we booked a table on Saturday night when homemade burgers were the main item on the dinner menu. great! we love a homemade burger. they were obviously cooked to order what was good with us. but when they arrived, it was obviously even before tasting that the two burgers were different. for one beginning one was much bigger than the other! we tasted and were surprised to find that they also tasted very differently with a much more beautiful than the other. we found this situation really annoying. one of us enjoyed our meal and the other not! we mentioned this to the owner and cook, who told us that he was “experienced” with two recipes, but two on the same table requires consistency and should be the golden rule. to be fair, he was very apologetic and said he would not be charged for the substandard burger, but, after hardships with the card machine and no article bill, we were actually charged and paid the full amount. the whole experience felt as if we were guinea pigs experimenting in a “how to a restaurant”.

Don't take any money. eat in order, but expensive for what it was. very) small bottle wein costs £5.00! it is not worth going or driving there.

Lovely brunch here, great atmosphere and fresh homemade food. Enjoyed breakfast so much I came back for Sunday Lunch which was gorgeous. Highly recommended
