Hungry Jack's Pty Ltd - SUCCESS

Without doubt, HJ’s Carillon Arcade made me the worst burger I have ever had. Confronted by a mildly angry front counter girl who is obviously not happy, who then served-up a terrible burger with hardly any salad, forgotten peri peri sauce (which we paid extra for) and it was just warm. When we returned the burger to have it properly prepared, there was no hint of an apology, just an angrier counter girl, a couple of extra lettuce pieces and that was it. FYI, there were only 4 customers so they can’t use ‘being busy’ as an excuse. Worst burger ever. EVER.

We have only been through drive through twice as we live five minutes away. The food was slapped together. Cheese was mor on the baler than the roll of the bacon deluxe. It was cold. The fries were almost cold and even though I asked for only a bit of salt it was ignored and heavily salted. The best thing was it was quite quick so the food must have been sitting around ready.

Today I had a slow but tasty experience at Hungry Jack's. The butter was slightly falling off the onion rings, but the nuggets were perfect. There was a long wait in the queue, but the perfect iced coke topped it off.

Despite the busyness, the restaurant managed to accurately prepare my complicated customized order. The chips were cooked perfectly, which is not always the case at other fast food establishments. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick and affordable meal in the city.

I was served by Julia today who even though they seemed busy did not falter her smile once and had the most vibrant attitude of anyone I’ve seen in fast food. Definitely gave the impression that a store is after, and will be sure to visit again.
