Caffe Vero - Subiaco

I had lunch here, the place was not very clean, the service was slow, the food was sloppy and old. I did not try the coffee but generally I was not very impressed with food, prices or service. First and last time I will visit here. I have walked by this cafe many times in the past and it looked busy and clean, but now it's very quiet - maybe they have changed owners...

This cafe was disappointing at every level. The people that run the place have obviously no idea on how to run a cafe. -The customer service was ridiculous. Not a single smile from anyone, and we had staff approaching our table and very impolitely asking us if we ordered some dish which we didn't. -It took 30 whole minutes for our 2 lates to be delivered! -The unpleasant atmosphere of frazzled waiters running around nervously did not help and made the overall experience unenjoyable. -They did not have a dedicated waiter at the time we were there so the barista and cook were the ones running around serving dishes while preparing coffee/food at the same time.  Definitely not coming here again.

Got an iced mocha and a chicken avocado crepe, the servings were huge and they were delicious :) Will like to be back! Service was nice too, don't know why this place has copped so many negative reviews. Limited food options though.

Bunny wow!! First time at Cafe Vero and the cafe itself is nothing special. The tables are at different heights pushed together creating a bit of a school canteen feel. They do the general slad and sandwich lunch fare. I had come specifically for one dish and one dish only ..the bunny chow. I had no idea what this was until a few days ago when my friend introduced me to this south african delight. It is essentially curry in a hollowed out bread bowl the curry was fantastic rich, thick and with a massive chilli kick. The lamb was nice too it hadnt been slow cooked but wasnt particularly tough either. Ill be back for this dish for sure!

Poor good and over priced. The table where we where sitting hadn't been cleaned or the surrounding tables . They also got our order wrong . Really liked this place under previous owners won't be going back again .
