Ate there during truffle winter season. Lovely food from Chef Alain. Ordered duck confit as main and truffle egg as appetiser. Really enjoy it and hopefully will come back before the truffle season is over.
It seems like Bistro des Artiste is evolving into Hexagone. We went there for dinner to sample the new menu. It was very innovative - best of WA produce served with a modern French flavour. I especially enjoyed the chestnut soup. I am looking forward to the official opening. It is great to have restaurants where the owners, chef and staff have so much passion for what they do. Well done!
My wife and I, along with our 15month old, went here for dinner and honestly, it was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious, extremely well presented and portion size was really good. We were even given unexpected extra add ons with most of our meals for no extra charge. The wait staff were very nice, could have been a bit more knowledgable but where this lacked they made up for in their enthusiasm. We will definitely be back.
Very attentive service. 5 star. The food. Mmmmh. Was 6 out of 10. The lamb shank was average but to give them credit was normally on their lunch menu. The brulee. Compared to Romain's from Bunker Bay, this was a bit to liquid and not set. The burnt sugar top was just a bit to dark. Just lacked that wow factor. Don't think I would hurry back.
