Fiddleford Inn - Sturminster Newton

The staff at this charming, tucked-away pub are wonderful, and the atmosphere is very inviting.

This used to be a delightful country pub, but it has lost its charm since the renovation. During my recent visit, the staff were rude, and we found out we couldn't order a bowl of chips unless we purchased an expensive meal.

This is a beautiful place. We stopped here for lunch during our walk, and it was the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet meal. The beer garden offered plenty of outdoor seating, which was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic. Without a doubt, the chips were some of the best we've ever tasted!

For lunch, the dining experience was fantastic. The pub food was well-executed, and the salad was really nice. The service was outstanding; our server was friendly and attentive, even checking to see if we wanted to move to a warmer spot since the initial room we were in was a bit cool.

Barrie and Ilze are incredibly welcoming hosts. The staff is very friendly, as are the local artisans. The Sunday roast was delicious, and the menu features a great selection of traditional English dishes. The lovely outdoor garden complements the friendly atmosphere perfectly. The rooms are absolutely impeccable. Being able to bring her dog (with the guarantee of plenty of trees) makes this an ideal place to stay.
