We enjoy arriving early or lingering after our meal to stroll around the property and admire the beautiful landscaping and flowers, which are impeccably maintained by their landscaping crew. Our waitress, Grace, was attentive and delightful to interact with during our visit last night.
Five of us had not met in a long time and wanted to enjoy a nice meal together where we could catch up. Unfortunately, one waiter and a group of 8 sitting nearby were extremely loud and disruptive, making it difficult for us to hear each other. The acoustics in the old restaurant were not great, but this group showed no consideration for others. On a positive note, our waitress Emily was fantastic and all of our meals were delicious. The bread baskets were especially impressive.
Great service. Very comfortable. Good food. Great pastries. Beautiful surroundings. Historic.
The food was okay, not exceptional, but there was a lot of it and it was decent. However, the service was very poor. Our server was absent most of the time, there was no water refill, and despite requesting them, we never received salt or pepper. Additionally, we were not given a dessert menu. It was the worst dining experience in terms of service.
We stop in Sturbridge and the Publick House every time we go to Maine. Quaint little town with history. Love Ebenezer's Tavern. Always good food and friendly staff. The bakery is out of this world.
