East Ocean Bistro - Stuart

The atmosphere was fantastic and perfect for any occasion. We celebrated our anniversary there and had a wonderful time; the comedians were fantastic! The owners were incredibly kind and even treated us to some extras to make our special day even better.

I went for lunch and tried the soft shell crab BLT with garlic lemon mayonnaise, and I absolutely loved it. The lemon flavor was prominent, and everything tasted incredibly fresh, especially the crab. The atmosphere was fantastic too.

If you're visiting for the entertainment, you might find it enjoyable. However, the way they handled a complaint was simply unacceptable. My husband ordered beef tips, but when his meal arrived, it consisted mainly of a pile of potatoes with just three tiny beef tips swimming in gravy. The pieces of beef were so small they could have fit on a toothpick. When he raised his concern about the meager portion, he was informed that they had run out of beef tips and that the plate was "weighted." And indeed it was—weighted down with potatoes.

I was served raw liver, and when they recooked it, they replaced the mashed potatoes with a different side. I have no idea what else they did, but I ended up getting sick and vomiting when I got home. It was quite unpleasant. To make matters worse, the meal was really expensive.

I had a fantastic lunch with my coworkers at this restaurant. We were there to celebrate a colleague who was leaving the company, and with a group of 10, we were seated quickly. Our server was excellent, promptly taking care of our drink and food orders. Dennis stopped by to check on us and even offered to take some pictures. He took several shots using different phones, which was a nice touch. I ordered the Shrimp with Pesto Ravioli, and it was incredible! This was the first visit for a couple of us, and we were all quite impressed.
