The Stirrup Cup - Stroud

Yesterday Julian and his staff delivered a fantastic Sunday Lunch to our family of 28 people . The food was beautifully cooked and all the veg was freshly prepared and cooked. The meals was priced well and delivered by a wonderful team . Julian even got a round of applause for his excellence. Thank you from our English and Scottish family . Anne Rob

We really wanted a Great British Pub Meal. And we 'd been to this pub before and got exactly that on our past visit. This time it was really disappointing to be served 'freezer to fryer ' fare and pretty average fare at that. It was a nice pint I had another (yes, the beer seems good) but there 's not much positive to say about the food. Covid or not, this is poor. There was almost more staff than customers so that wasn 't the problem. There 's lots of other options in the area folks will vote with their feet. I know we sadly won 't be back.

Quite possibly the nicest place I've been to in a long time. Thanks to Polly for fantastic service and the whole team at the stirrup very impressive! 10/10.

Great village pub. Very welcoming staff. Good value and excellent lunch. Also a very attractive upstairs beer garden. High hygiene standards. Definitely will return

We were lucky enough to find this little gem on our recent travels. Everything about this place is perfect, the food, the beer and the ever so friendly staff landlord. Would strong advise a visit.
