Firehouse Subs Strongsville

This is likely my second favorite sandwich shop. The sandwiches are excellent, and it’s a family-friendly place. The only area that could use improvement is the service, which wasn't the friendliest—though it may have just been an off day. Regardless, the taste and presentation of the food are superb, and the quality is consistently high at a reasonable price.

It's difficult to evaluate the food here when I can’t shake off how consistently dirty the place is. This is the third time my partner and I have stopped for lunch, and the condition of the restaurant is concerning. I even had to pull out my own sanitary wipes to clean our table. Today, I was so put off by the state of the freestyle soda machine that I didn't even want to use it—everything was sticky and grimy. To top it off, the staff seemed unprofessional; they were handling sandwiches without changing their gloves, and the sandwich boxes and bags were covered in mayonnaise and greasy fingerprints. It felt like they were rushing through orders; I only saw them complete three during our visit, and it was well after 2 PM.

I recently visited and found that the meat portions here are very small, and the toppings are incredibly skimpy. It’s quite embarrassing, and it’s no surprise that the place is so empty. If it weren't for the pastrami, I would completely avoid this restaurant. The portions are really stingy, though the pastrami does taste good—if you don’t mind feeling a bit cheated. I ordered a 9-inch sandwich and got just two pieces of pastrami and two pieces of corned beef, which was disappointing. Overall, the experience was lackluster.

They make some of the better subs in the opposite, although jersey mike might overtake the lead in my book. I would also suggest that they drop the pickle from the service. it is fucking limp, warm and recently about a half of a quarter speer. worthless and really pulls off from the whole order.
