Ate at uncle Sam's after a long time, wasn't disappointed. The ultra mushroom philly was fresh and tasty... Served with some of the best fries I've ever had. Surely will be back for more

As a person who cares about others’ safety, I must say something: I cooked here for a few months and the sanitation and food handling standards are very poor. 1. Employees handle raw chicken and beef then go right to handling finished food “ready to eat,”without changing gloves. The grill handles all proteins in various states of cooking at once and uses the same utensils to cook a half done chicken sandwich from frozen and then scoop a fully cooked steak sandwich into a ready to eat bun. I was told that scraping the utensils together takes care of the cross contamination of germs by management. The whole place goes against everything I’ve learned in Serve Safe classes, and nobody there is even certified to be handling this type of food to my knowledge. All you need to do is take a seat at the bar and watch the cooking process to know this is all true. I’m not sure how they can morally stand what they are doing until you hear how they talk about their own customers. Enjoy ?

I 've never been to Uncle Sam 's before, nor have I ever heard of it. But after my first time visiting them today, I see why. It wasn 't very busy in there, so I have no idea why the cashier was so cold and rude. We told her we wanted our food to-go . But she made our order for dine-in and she denied that we told her that. She shrugged her shoulders, rolled her eyes and shook her head saying no . That convo turned into a back and forth between her and my family. Next thing you know she tells the cooks to take our fries away since we arent dining-in! I didn 't know Uncle Sam 's came with so many rules and such rude cashiers. All the time this was going on, the manager just ignored the whole thing because we asked for him and he kept his back turned towards the grill continuing to cook. We didn 't catch the cashiers name but she has a nasty attitude towards her customers.

I've been eating here for years and it's unfortunately really gone down hill. Tried to order takeout and was rudely put on hold. The woman answered and just set the phone down talking to other people in the background, I heard her take one order from someone in the restaurant then she started chatting with another employee. Left me on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on me. Called back. Same woman. Same rude greeting. I was left on hold for another 3 minutes. Again, they had answered and just set the phone down. I was able to hear 2 female employees talking and complaining. One of them was actually laughing about the fact that she had left me on hold. Seriously? Finally, a female employee picked up the phone and took my order. I told the employee they should have our name in their records for a replacement sandwich from a previous order they had messed up. The woman said there was no record for us and didn't offer to do anything for me. I suspected this would happen as the manager I had talked to a few weeks ago seemed equally disinterested in doing their job when I called in to let them know what had happened. I just laughed and told her to cancel my order. The service here absolutely sucks anymore. The food can be good when you get someone who actually cares making your order. Based on my experiences, I find that the order is made incorrectly close to 50% of the time. Due to the absolutely terrible service, I won't ever be ordering here again. You actually get better service at McDonald's or even Subway? Take your money elsewhere, they just don't care. Good food is always ruined by bad service.
