Täkō - Strip District

Ok, my wife and I went here for a date night. A couple things that will keep us away. 1 the fact that we couldn’t get over the lighting, how is the place being cleaned properly? Maybe there is something I’m not seeing however even for just dining in there is no way to really inspect your food or see anything. Not a fan. 2 the food was eh at best. The best thing they had going for the was the home made tortillas. But you paid for them. We ordered a Queso appetizer that we had to pay extra to get enough tortillas to just eat half of the queso. The lemonade was $4 a glass and I’m pretty sure that it was 3/4 lemon juice 1/8 ice and 1/8 water. Now let’s talk about the tacos. The Al Pastor was what I ordered. I wanted to like it so bad and I was excited about the pineapple, however I couldn’t taste it really with the amount of salt on it. My wife ordered the Pollo Asado which was a safe bet however not worth $10 a taco. All and all I think this place is overpriced and overrated!! We will not be returning to get robbed again!!

Came here late night after a photoshoot in the city. Treated the people I was with to a nice meal. I called to see if there was a wait. The person on the phone was very helpful and it was not busy, so we could get in. They greeted us very kindly and sat us upstairs. My only complaint is that the fans made it cold after coming in from rainy weather. I suggest coming here during (Happy Hour) as the food and drinks are very pricey, but understandable as the quality of the food was worth it. The house made tortillas were warm and delicious. The queso, salmon, and guacamole appetizers were delicious and filling. Pineapple Margarita hit the spot. All the tacos they have are superb. Very delicious late evening option if you want quality food.

The food here is DELICIOUS!!! I had such a great time eating and overall vibing here. I recommend, specially after a night out!

Went to this place yesterday. It was there happy hour time. We ordered guacamole and chips. Chips were so many. Guacamole was so good. It was amazing. Later we ordered mushroom and chicken taco. They were so good and fulfilling. Loved the vibe of the restaurant and the service was amazing so fast.they have a cute patio outside too.

The Tako Taco is a must try. Look past the octopus stigma because they prepare it expertly. Everything we tried was exceptional but the Tako Taco is probably the best served taco I have ever had
