Stopped for Turkish Coffee with my husband. It was a Tuesday afternoon and there was no one there with us.
This restaurant is a complete disaster. The owner's rude attitude and total disregard for customers ruined our experience. Service was slow and indifferent. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere.
Great food! Great service! I am looking forward to the next meal we have here!
The way I describe Turkish food to people that haven’t discovered it is, “It’s a bit like Greek food… but seriously leveled up.”We came see a show in the theater district and found better Turkish food than we have in DC. The District may have a Turkish embassy but Pittsburgh has the food. They were seriously on point with our meal. Why should you trust me? My wife and I enjoy real Turkish meals all the time when we’re in Europe. This was the best Turkish food we’ve had in the states. For example: most places in America add unusual spices not common with the Döners we love. Pretty frustrating. Döners don’t need mint, cinnamon and other crazy spices. The lamb is the star.My wife immediately recognized their bread was baked fresh. When we talked to the owner about how great the meal was, he confirmed the bread was made in house. The Lahmacun (Turkish pizza) and my Döner wrap were incredible. My wife fell in love with their Adana kebab and the spinach pie.Pittsburgh is not known to be a food destination. If the Turks keep this up, it will.In a nutshell: Sultan Döner Kebab: it might be no frills dining… but we say, HIGHLY recommended.
