Weissbierhaus - Straubing

We stick with the traditional dishes (Schweinshaxe, Sauerkrautplatte) with different white beer and were happy, staff was very friendly and offered us a snap after the meal. Book on!

Instead of ordinary place in the center of Straubing. Good food, but rather basic service: not really attentive and not spoken English at all. Very nice beer, as expected.

We fell here on a beautiful summer day as it was thrown out with rain. Be prepared and the food never leaves you down, generous portions, beautifully cooked Bavarian cuisine. This time, only the problem was that the service was quite frightening. Would go back again and hopefully they have already fired the deception, inept woman who served us (or not)!

We stopped in Straubing for lunch while cycling the Danube. We first tried a restaurant opposite the Weissbierhaus, but couldn't get anyone to wait for us, so left. We entered the Weissbierhaus and were immediately welcomed and set. The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The beer is the best I had. The matjesfilet was very good, like the salad plate with plaster strips. We were very happy to have eaten here.

Nach vergeblichen Versuchen indisch zu essen, vietnamesisch oder ersatzweise ein gutes Steak, landeten wir hier - was für ein Glück. Anders als in den anderen Lokalen ist auch nach 20:30 Uhr der Abend nicht zu Ende und der Herd noch an. Und das hat sich gelohnt:leckere Regionalküche, frisches Bier, netter Service, uriges Lokal, sehr moderate Preise. Wir kommen wieder!
