Das Roehrl - Straubing

We thought we were a beer, light lunch and people watched after the bike in the city. They had English menus. We ordered two cooked calf sausages, a pulp and potato salad, all were very good. The waitress was super helpful and probably the most friendly we reached during our 6 day tour.

I'm not a fan of most Bavarian cuisine, but this place must have the best cheese around late. Fresh, made to order, enough for 2 (or 3). Service is fine (for Germany), altho a little short hand this night. Ate outside at a hot night and it was great. I also had a steak here, which was about par and very favorable. It's right at the main square, you can't miss it. Have fun.

Roehrl is one of the last traditional Bavarian restaurants in Straubing. Also in the historic center of the city you will find excellent local dishes that are worth money and friendly service.
