Grand Fortune Chinese Buffet

From our town we headed out for Chinese food in a neighbouring town. Closed for holiday. Decided to head to Strathmore as next option. We found this place and we're impressed. Comfortable restaurant with ample parking and very friendly staff. The food was fresh and good. Haven't had such good ginger beef in a long time. Also had Egg Foo Young which I never see offered anymore. Many items I liked.

Best Chinese Buffet in Town. Recommend to everybody who likes good food very reasonable price. Right on North side of the TransCanada

According to the menu the buffet starts at 4:30, we arrived about 4:45 and they were just starting to put it out. Had to wait about ten minutes for it to all be out but it doesn't get any fresher than that. The ginger beef, dumplings, spring rolls and the lemon chicken were amazing. The rice I found personally to be a little under cooked but was tasty. The salad bar was stale and needed a turn to get to the fresher stuff but the dressing was good. There was one other table to us and the service was ok, we were left in our own space and the coffee refill offer did not come until we were ready to leave, the lady was very nice though. The bathrooms are maintained however the windows and walls in the restaurant could use a wash as there are tons of children's greasy finger prints all over them. I would recommend take out absolutely as everything is super fresh and crunchy as you would expect but if you have an OCD for cleanliness as I do the walls and windows will scare ya. Cost totaled about $40.00 for two adults at buffet with water and one coffee to drink.

Went to the buffet on a Friday evening. We found the food to be very stale. The wontons tasted very off, and the hot dishes were cold once we got back to the table. I can't eat the seafood dishes, and the options I could have were merely scraps to scrape from the serving dish. This buffet is usually a lot better. I was very disappointed this time around.

Went here for the 2nd time. Now for take out lunch. I took from the buffet, lots of choice, great salads. Love their food!
