The Stags Head - Stratford-on-Avon

I enjoyed a delicious and flavorful lunch on Sunday. I loved every aspect of it, including the syrup sponge and custard dessert. I appreciated that the food was served hot and at a good price. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and the chef truly deserves some praise for the excellent meal.

After reading the reviews, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. When we arrived, we initially had trouble finding the entrance as it was located next to the lounge bar. Once seated, the staff at the bar were incredibly friendly. We loved the comfort food that felt like a home-cooked meal. The burger came with extra gravy, which was a nice touch, and the all-day breakfast options looked very appetizing. Overall, it was a fantastic meal that we almost missed because we couldn't find the entrance at first.

The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance with lots of character. The food was excellent, especially the Lamb stew which was the perfect winter warmer. We did have to wait a bit for our food, but we were informed at the time of ordering that the restaurant was very busy, indicating that the dishes were homemade and freshly cooked. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the staff were very accommodating. Overall, great value for money.

On a warm evening, we had a delicious meal in the secret little cool garden at the back which we didn't even know existed. Service was quick and staff friendly. Nice as its our local pub.
