The Bell - Stratford-on-Avon

I recently stayed at The Bell for two nights and booked it last minute as a quick getaway. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, our experience was amazing. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, the facilities were top-notch, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and all the necessary amenities like a kettle, iron, hairdryer, TV, and fluffy towels. The toiletries provided were of high quality from Loctaine. It was the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing break, and we will definitely be returning for another stay.

Today, on the 100th birthday of my late uncle, my almost 101-year-old aunt, myself, and two close friends decided to honor the occasion by going out for lunch. We have visited this restaurant many times before and have always had a great experience. Today was no exception. We were warmly welcomed as we arrived separately and were seated in a lovely spot in the restaurant. Our server, Sandra, was kind, patient, and lovely. Our drinks arrived promptly, giving us time to peruse the wonderful menu. The food was served right on time, and we all admired each other's dishes. My aunt enjoyed the Lashford sausage and mash with cabbage - the portion was so generous she had to take some home, but she loved every bite. I had the shoulder of lamb with crushed potatoes, carrots, leeks, and cabbage, which was cooked perfectly. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the jus tied everything together beautifully. My friends both had the quiche with a side salad and were impressed, agreeing that we need to visit this restaurant more often. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but they all looked delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is fabulous, the food is amazing, and every penny was well spent. Thank you for making a difficult day so special.

As a vegetarian who typically struggles to find appealing options at pubs, I was delighted to discover a local pub that offered a wide variety of dishes beyond just veggie burgers. The prices may be a bit steep, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. My dad was particularly impressed with the pie, which was actually a pie and not just slop with a pastry lid. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was lively with everyone seeming to enjoy their meals and company. The beautiful garden views and cozy interior make it a great place to relax and unwind. The wall art and old-fashioned details added to the welcoming feel of the pub. And just to top it off, my family couldn't resist ordering dessert for the first time ever at a restaurant - the post-meal ice cream was simply too tempting to pass up.

I have heard many good things about this restaurant and so we went today for my husbands birthday. I was underwhelmed by our food today. We had the roast, and it was pretty average, and considering the food is pricey, you expect it to be excellent. We have 4 kids 2 had the roast option and 2 the burger option the burgers were tiny, the chips were great. No salad for the burgers. Puddings across the board were really good and we loved that they all had great vegan and GF options, although the meals didn’t have much variety at all for GF for the kids. The service was also average our waitress hardly gave us a smile throughout the whole meal. Luckily a server of the food was a bit friendlier. Honestly, we won’t be going back again.

Hotel with a lot of charm, exceptional treatment and surrounded by nature. Very well located to visit towns and tourist attractions in the area. We had dinner in their pub and very good quality/price ratio. Lovely staff. We stayed in the suite and it was a success. No detail is missing! Breakfast also very good.
