Nice bar and nice restaurant upstairs called East.Staff really helpful.

Hard call between 3 and 4 stars. a lot of space and good selection of drinks, but decor felt more like a school caféteria than a bar. would rather some of the other drinking places on the high road

The food was absolutely superb and would score 5 stars on it's own. However the ambience and service were sub-standard for a sit down meal.I would recommend avoiding weekends or waiting until the dedicated dining area opens in early 2022.I can't emphasise enough how good the food was though.

Fantastic Fresh food. Would definitely recommend. Seafood and meat were cooked brilliantly. Just what Hagley needed. Will be back soon

My husband and I went for lunch this weekend. It's a local restaurant for us, but we hadn't been in a couple of years due to a previous bad experience with noisy children. We decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacked atmosphere and character. The booth-style chairs were old and torn. There was a loud children's birthday party happening in the front of the restaurant (not the venue's fault). It took over half an hour for our starters to arrive, even though the place wasn't very busy. The table next to us, who ordered after us, received their food first. The food itself was good, and the server who brought our starters was friendly. However, my husband's main course was brought to the table without a word, and mine followed a few minutes later. The waiter did not clear our plates or utensils from the starters. It's the little things like good service that matter. We might give this restaurant another try in a couple of years.
