Pizza Den - Stonewall

This place is terrible. Service sucked. The chicken club was tough, almost inedible. Burger was cold. Server never once asked if I wanted a coffee refill. In fact, she ignored us.

Let's start with the positive. The service was excellent. Our young waitress was friendly and attentive to our needs. However, what was the quality of the food like, you ask. Wellllll, not so good. I ordered the roast beef on a baguette special $12.99 all in). It came with your choice of potato and soup or salad. I chose mashed potatoes and borscht soup. The soup came in a large bowl with sour cream on the side. The borscht had pork added. The soup was good, but the pork truly did not add anything to its flavour. Now for the main course. The broccoli vegetable, rather than sweet and crispy or crunchy was a soggy mass that had been sitting in water for some time. The potatoes were bland and when I had asked for some gravy on them I was told that that would be an extra cost even though the baguette had gravy on it. This made no sense. And finally, although the roast beef was flavourful, it was tough and over cooked. Last, this meal was served in a plastic basket with paper on the bottom. This might be fine for a hamburger or finger food, but if you need to use a knife and fork for the meal, it should be on a plate. As I indicated the roast beef was tough so cutting through it meant cutting into the paper liner in the basket. Exactly how much paper I ate mixed in with the gravy, roast beef and baguette I'm not sure, but it was a pain trying to keep it from mixing with my meal. Would I go back to the Pizza Den...yes...everyone deserves a second chance, however, I would stick with the pizza or their chicken wings. Word is, they're great.

The pizza is inconsistent. It can be great or terrible depending on the day. The other food is decent.

One of the best pizza places I have ever been too, ordering for take-out is always fast and the dine-in service is divine. Best tasting pizza you can get and at a good price. Favorite restaurant in stonewall.

Ordering over the phone was challenging. Ordered a Den burger without ketchup. It had ketchup. Burger itself was not homemade. It was a frozen burger. Greek salad dressing looked and tasted like Kraft. Will not go there again.2 of our 4 orders were wrong.
