The Frying Machine - Stonehouse

Fresh, hot, tasty. All food is cooked to order which can result in longer wait times but it's well worth it as the food is of good quality. Prices similar to other chippies in the area. The restaurant itself has a cosy atmosphere but there is standing room only. No delivery available. Parking: No bays but room on the streets to park. Often quite heavy traffic through the area so spaces can be scarce and no nearby street crossing if you have to park across the road. Narrow pavements so you will be parking into the road.

Had 2 fish and chips and 1 pie and chips, was told the fish was cod but definitely wasn't, had a smell and taste of haddock which my wife doesn't like so ended up chucking it out, waste of money totally, will definitely not be going back, the chips were mostly straggly ones so most of them got chucked out aswell the only thing great was the pie Service: Take out

Absolutely shocking place, been here once before and it was OK, so gone back but will not be returning, I can only eat cod, we asked if it was that on the counter the guy said yes, turns out I was sold haddock, it's made me unwell, whole meal has had to be chucked. This place need's to take more care in what they are serving customers. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20

Of the three chippys in stonehouse i rate this one the best. Foods always good and pricing is more than fair. Never had a bad order from here in the 10 years i have been going here Just remember cash only Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10
