Chou Lee's - Stonecrest

I was very disappointed with this place. To start with, I assumed from the Google review photos that this place was a sit down type Chinese restaurant. The photos clearly show plates of food being served at table and servers waiting on people! This may have been the case in the past, but it is not now. In fact, the store front photos on Google don't even look like the front of this place! What's up with that? So, I feel like I was lied to from the start. It is so hard to find a decent Chinese restaurant that's not in a strip mall or isn't a buffet in a run down building with a sewery smell about the whole place. Despite all that, I still gave the place a chance. The food was no better than your average strip mall Chinese restaurant. It was really nothing special. I think the food at an average Panda Express is actually much better. The restaurant itself has all the atmosphere of a hotel lobby, and pretty much looks like one. It's very sad and lonely. I will not be going back, and I recommend finding something else to eat if you are in the Conyers, Georgia area. Such a shame. And now, if you will indulge me, a brief rant. I want REAL Chinese food at a REAL sit down Chinese restaurant, damnit!!! And I want to be waited on and cooked for by actual Chinese people, not a bunch of people that don't look like they belong there. And I want something that isn't P.F. Chang's either (no offense to P.F. Chang's or it's fans; it is good once in a while). Why is this SO hard to find now? Conyers had a couple of great Chinese restaurants in the 1980's, but that time is long past. I guess I'll have to be patient until I can get back down to Macon, Georgia and go to The Mandarin on Riverside Dr. Now, THAT place is what I'm talking about, people!! Look it up when you have a minute.

The reviews seemed to rave about this spot but my chicken with teriyaki was over cooked. Really dry.. Also I thought it would be grilled but it was fried so keep in mind.... Guys at the register were cool guys.. Cool service. Restaurant was clean but food just want on point.

This was my second time visiting this place and the first time the food was extra salty and this time around just not good quality, the chicken some pieces was to hard and chewy and the rice rice was old and undercooked, I was very disappointed and will not return.

I'm not even finished with my food but it is absolutely delicious! I had good customer service over the phone and in the restaurant. This was my first time ordering and I got the chicken lo mein and two egg rolls. I knew I was in for a treat when I tried the egg roll and it was flavorful. The lo mein is honestly the best I've ever had and it's usually my go to order at Chinese restaurants. I will be back.
