Water Star Grille At The Reeds

Last minute Sunday night dinner timed perfectly right at sunset...and yet they were still able to fit us in, despite it being weekend before Labor Day...it was somewhat crowded, yet they still gave us a glorious table directly on the water...Lucy, our waitress, immediately came to our table and explained how their menu worked, and then she proceeded to orchestrate 4 courses, with drinks and wines, each timed and paired perfectly...she even timed our take-out order to arrive just as we completed dinner (which our daughter devoured on the drive home, after we picked her up from the beach). Lucy was handling several tables, but you couldn't tell that from the quality of her service or attentiveness...it might be considered a tad pricey by some shore area standards, but we felt it was definitely worth it considering the view, service, drink and food quality. Came here for lunch and had the best time!! We went on a Wednesday around noon and there was no wait, but I hear on the weekends, it gets pretty packed. Our waitress (Meredith) was SO friendly and the food was DELICIOUS. While it is on the pricier side, it was 100% worth it. We ordered food for 8 people and it came out in great time (probably no more than half an hour). Vegetarian options!!? I had the house made veggie burger and it was to die for? (see photos for veggie burger and chicken sandwich). Not to mention a great atmosphere AND view since it?s right on the water!

Eating was enormous. Look spectacular. Service mixed bag. We had a great meal, but make sure you want your appetizer FIRST. And the IMPORTANT. Tell them to wait for your head. Somehow everything came immediately. (Except my wife?s) so I just sent my head back to see how it sits on the outdoor kitchen shelf. When it just came back, I asked for a new one. It took a long time to get our drinks. Wife liked summer sunset cocktail. I enjoyed May tai (not shown)

That was not a good experience. The front of the house service was not on the speed from the beginning. We arrived at the opening and the hosts were not helpful or engaged to help us find the right table in a sea of empty tables. Food quality very good. A proposal for servers. Ask for allergies. Also make sure that all ingredients listed in a dish are listed in the menu description. For the price, subdued.

Great service, phenomenal food, beautiful outdoor seats. Absolutely back!
