About an hour waiting the woman at the table next to us told us she had been waiting 1 hour 45 mins for her and her childrens food. When their food arrived they promptly paid their bill and left their whole meals on the table. After witnessing that we were ready to leave when suddenly our food finally arrived. The Parpadelle pasta was cold and quite frankly disguisting. My Ossobuco was SO dry and clearly had sat for too long. When we complained to the waitress she just said “Oh really?!” and walked away. We asked for our bill and explained that after almost 2 hours wait without explaination, rudeness and inedible food we were ready to leave. They brought the bill promptly (the only prompt thing they did all night! and charged us full price for the food with no apology whatsoever. The owner should be ashamed. We will never recommed nor walk into this place again! !
Was hoping for a really great Saturday night feast. What we got was an experience where we will never go back. Ordered Rib Eye and Chicken Pizzaiola. Rib Eye was something you would serve in a prison. Zero seasoning, baked...not seared or grilled. Chicken portion was extremely small. No sour cream for baked potatoes. Dinner took 90 minutes to arrive. Positives were wait staff was attentive and warned us of slow food delivery but on a Saturday night, it is what it is. The ceasar salad was the highlight ... very good ice cold crisp lettuce. While we were there, we witnessed two couples get there food and leave the restaurant. Only reason we stayed was the company and the wine....
Great date night idea! Amazing staff amazing chef. This is a scratch kitchen so bring a bottle of wine and enjoy some great conversation.
A charming little restaurant in the tiny river town of Stockton NJ. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The bread to start the meal seemed to have come from a grocery store. The Caesar salad was OK, undistinguished, but the entree was the real disappointment. It was the Pescatore, seafood on linguini, supposedly. What I got was a huge bowl of spaghetti with sparse smattering of mussels, class and a few pieces of calamari, with 1 shrimp. Embarrassing, especially as they make a bog deal on the menu of saying the use the particular pasta that is traditional for the dish. But the chincy amount of seafood was really shocking. The desserts, Lemoncello cake and pistachio cake, were the saving grace. Delicious. Service was friendly if not particularly attentive. The tables were too crowded, too. I don't think we'll be back.
My eating is great and the employee jeff has a great work in communication and customer service.
