Refresh! Brasserie - Stirling

The menu features staples like burgers and chips, spicy chicken, pasta, and some vegetarian options. While the choices may not be extensive, they're generally quite good, with something available to satisfy most tastes. The ingredients are of good quality, the food is well-prepared, and the prices are reasonable. This is, without a doubt, the best spot for food on campus, especially for breakfast, where you can enjoy fresh pancakes with syrup, bacon, or blueberries, along with a large glass of orange juice for only 50p! They also have a coffee machine, a variety of teas, and a wide selection of soft drinks. You might find it hard to visit regularly due to the lack of variety, but the chef does a great job, and the food is delicious. There are nice touches, like garlic mayo on the side with your fries, which might explain their claim to be a brasserie! I particularly recommend the burger or the spicy chicken and flatbread, but definitely try the breakfast pancakes—just make sure to get there before 11 for those. One downside is the staff; while they're not rude, they can be a bit distant, giving the impression that they have other priorities besides serving you, which might be fair enough.

During our three-day stay at the University of Stirling, we had several meals at Refresh due to its convenient location near our accommodation. Breakfast was included each morning and was freshly prepared for us. We particularly enjoyed the creamy scrambled eggs, along with a selection of mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, bacon, and sausage. On the first day, the chef even surprised us with some baked beans! The Americano made just for me was absolutely delicious! We also had two dinner meals at Refresh, both of which were excellent, and on our last night, the chef treated us to a lovely dessert. I can't say enough about the staff—they were incredibly gracious and attentive, making sure we were pleased every step of the way. If you're staying at the University of Stirling and prefer not to venture into town, I highly recommend dining at Refresh!
