Had a girls lunch date there and it was fantastic. Two of us had some spicy seafood rice, while the other had a chicken curry. I loved how the food was plated

Good food and service at reasonable prices.Their lunch time specials covers a good variety and is real value for money.Dont forget to try the poached pear as desert.Delicious!!

Loved the decor set up. The menu is extensive with a variety of choices flavors! The portions are perfect too! And the side salad was generous. We had the beef espetada and rump with chicken livers flavorsome cooked excellently! We will definitely be back!

Look no further Pretoria Peeps, @Portugalo has come to the rescue.<br/ <br/ Situated in Brooklyn Square, it has a nice cozy setup, with inside and outside seating – perfect for the upcoming summer months. A group of us got treated to a variety of items off the menu for starters, mains and dessert, and all recipes used were handed down from Mothers to daughters within the family.<br/ <br/ On arrival we were welcomed with a shot of Ginjinha, although mixed reviews on the taste, I kinda liked it. Thereafter, we had some Portuguese wine that they have on the wine list – Mariana Branco. It’s a white wine with notes of green apple, citrus fruit, and tropical flavours, so its fresh and fruity.<br/ <br/ Now onto the food, we practically ate the entire menu if you see the list below <br/ <br/ Starters:<br/ <br/ •Prawn Rissoles absolutely delicious, you can taste the prawn meat inside it's not just filled with sauce.<br/ •Fired Up Chourico it was definitely on fire.<br/ •Grilled Sardines although tasty it had way too many bones for easy eating.<br/ •Portuguese Style calamari yummy<br/ •House Style Mussels didnt taste this<br/ •Chicken Giblets/Livers sorry I dont eat these<br/ •Portuguese Salad – lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, black olives and Portuguese dressing<br/ <br/ Mains:<br/ <br/ •Pork bean Stew great flavour<br/ •Portuguese Tripe no thanks I stuck with the normal stew.<br/ •Pork Loin with Clams didnt try this.<br/ •Prawns who doesn't love prawns??<br/ •LM Baby Chicken honestly you can leave me with a plate of chicken with the Milho frito and I'm good to go.<br/ •Milho Frito my favorite with the chicken and my new found love their Peri sauce.... Amazing.<br/ •Round Potato Fries spicy and carblicious<br/ • Whole fish probably one of my favourites for the evening perfectly spiced, juicy and tender.<br/ <br/ Desserts:<br/ <br/ •Pasteis de Nata who can resist them when freshly baked and that smell just tempts you. We could have eaten many more...<br/ •Chocolate Mousse Pudding<br/ •Heavenly Cream Fluffy cream mousse and ‘Maria’ biscuits topped with homemade custard. Really enjoyed their 'Date Night ' special. Good value for money with a 3 course meal and bottle of wine. Good portions and fresh tastes made each dish an experience. Our friendly waiter was attentive but was a bit overwhelmed at the end as the venue started to fill up and became very, very busy.
