Nana’s Mexican Kitchen - Stillwater

A tip for future guests: Breakfast and tacos are served from 7 am to 11 am, but I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast as there are only two options on the menu. The lunch buffet is available from 11 am to 2 pm, with preparations starting at least 30 minutes beforehand. I haven’t tried the buffet yet. Before 2 pm, seating is self-service (though they don’t have a sign indicating this), and you can order tacos or enjoy the buffet. After 2 pm, they will seat you, and you can choose from the full menu.

This restaurant is undoubtedly the best spot for Mexican cuisine in Stillwater. Don't let the one-star reviews or the appearance from a distance deter you. The food is incredible, the staff are fantastic, and they make you feel right at home. I genuinely felt as though I was in Mexico, enjoying a meal prepared by a grandmother. To top it off, they went out of their way to assist a man in need who was looking for dinner, sending him away with a generous amount of food, no questions asked. This is definitely a place I plan to visit every chance I get!

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we opted for the buffet. The mole chicken and yams were outstanding! The beef and carrots from another dish were also quite tasty. The refried beans and rice were excellent as well! Additionally, the tortillas were perfectly made. We're definitely going back to try items from the menu next time!

I was delighted to find a wide selection of Mexican spices available in their small storefront. The burrito was packed with generous portions of meat, making it so filling that I struggled to finish it. They also offer chips and salsa, with three sauce options: a flavorful salsa, a medium green chili sauce, and a spicy inferno sauce for those who enjoy some heat.

I had my first experience at this amazing little gem! It's a family-run Mexican restaurant, and our waitress was fantastic. She suggested the quesadilla, which was absolutely delicious. We also tried the street tacos made with handmade tortillas, and they were so good! They serve breakfast and have a buffet during the week as well. We will definitely be returning!
