For years, I’ve been avoiding the other A&W located at the corner of Montée St-Hubert and Boul. Cousineau because they haven’t been able to have a constant customer service, the food there is cold and dry, the employees are rude and nonchalant, so I was glad to see that this A&W opened and that it does look new.Tonight, I came at the drive-thru and made an order that seemed simple, mama burger, a kids meal and a teen burger trio, when I came to pay, I was informed that the root beer was no longer available because the machine wasn’t operational. I was offered to choose a juice or a lemonade. I chose the lemonade. When it was the time to pay, I paid with paypass, only to realize that the total had jump from 33$ to 34,50$. I asked about the recent change and the clerk then informed me that a lemonade cost more than a root beer.I decided to ask for a refund and the manager came and said to me : you know, the lemonade is just a 1,50$ more than the root beer! I said, your employee never mentioned that there was a price difference with this lemonade. The manager replied with, a bottle of water or ice tea is the same price as a root beer! And I replied, your employee also didn’t inform me of this, please just refund the lemonade, I do not want to pay more for a lemonade because your machine isn’t functional. To which she agreed and processed.My whole point is, this new generation of management is awful, why is it for the customer to pay, because they aren’t able to communicate information’s correctly? Why is it my fault that they do not seem to care about the fact, that: 1 – I chose to go there, 2 – I spent gas, 3 – there’s a plethora of other fast-food restaurant in the area? A&W was a dying food chain a few years ago. I guess they do not need my money. I can already imagine the employees reading this review and laughing about it, this is how it felt when I left.I’ll just stick with the competition, none of this would have occurred anywhere else. And why is it, that my original receipt wasn’t provided? I might be asking for too much here…
Stopped by to get a teenburger trio on special. Everything was nice and hot, the onion rings were nice and crispy and the Root beer came in a frozen mug that was so cold there was ice forming on top of the Root beer. Could not have asked for better.
Disgusting. Literally filthy! From the food served to the people who work there. Rude. Disrespectful and I even noticed the higher ups treat their employees like worthless pieces of junk. Don’t go eat at the one on chambly or Cousineau they’re both owned by the same owners. Horrible experience and I’ve had close neighbors share their experience as well and we all hate it over there!! Last time I went to see if it would be different the apple pie was expired and brown/black on the inside. I was sick for nearly 24hours!!
Is next to a bicycle path that crosses the city so good place stop for a break
