Luke's Grille - STEVENSVILLE

The restaurant is now known as Island Bar and Grill.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and managed to get a table for six. The service was decent, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations. I recommend skipping the coleslaw and opting for double sweet potato fries next time. Overall, it was a dine-in experience for dinner, and the price ranged from $10 to $20 per person.

I really wanted to enjoy this place more. The menu features classic dishes, but in a rather outdated way. They didn’t ask how I wanted my burger cooked, and unfortunately, it turned out overcooked with a bun that was scorched around the edges. The sandwich lacked any real flavor. It seems to have a loyal following of regulars and feels like a throwback to another era. Overall, the food was average, the ambiance was lackluster, and the service was also just okay. On the plus side, the prices are quite reasonable.

We typically enjoy dining at this restaurant. The steamed shrimp is fantastic and quite large. However, during our last visit, we saw three fast-moving cockroaches on the bar, which completely turned our stomachs and made us feel ill. I cannot return to a place where such things are visible while eating. I hope the owners take action and call an exterminator. If they do, we would consider coming back, but for now, we will not be returning.
