Joostenberg Bistro - Stellenbosch

We visited the bistro today, planning to just have a scone and coffee, but ended up ordering the Joosten burger and cheesecake instead. I have to say, I’ve never had a burger cooked to medium rare so perfectly. I didn’t expect to be impressed at all, but the meat was absolutely flawless, the aioli was delicious, the cheesecake was tasty, and the vanilla pod ice cream was simply amazing. My expectations were exceeded, and I want to give a big shoutout to the chef!

I had a fantastic lunch! The heating in the restaurant kept the space warm enough for me to take off my jacket on a chilly day. While there was no music playing, the food and service were excellent.

The food is outstanding—definitely the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The place was quite busy, which made the service feel a bit stretched, but the staff were friendly and efficient. There’s also a large area for kids to play.

We came here after our hot air balloon ride and we loved it. Beautiful place, nice atmosphere, good choice of breakfast options. They also sell many goods, but we were there just for breakfast.

It was my first visit, and it was a wonderful experience. I am very impressed with the Deli and the great variety of products. Very neat and clean. Vast open space for walks after a delicious meal
