Cugino's Pizzeria Italian

I have to say that tonight’s dinner was the absolute worst we’ve had in Steamboat in the last 20 years. We made a reservation for 7 people for 5pm, a full 2 hrs prior to the start of the ‘extravaganza’. I called about 2pm today to see if we could add 2 ppl. The person I spoke to said that if we had planned to be done by 630, that shouldn’t be a problem which I assured her we wanted to be out by no later than 630. Fast forward to dinner.....We arrive and are taken to a table set for 6, not even our original 7. The host then takes us to a table for 8 and we have to ask for the 9th chair to squeeze two chairs on the end. We ask for a cocktail list and there isn’t one. We ask what Gin is available and she says “giant gin” which as far as we know, doesn’t exist. We ask for a wine list and there isn’t one. Very odd for an Italian restaurant. We let the server know we needed to be out by 6:30 when we order our first round of drinks and she says no problem. Keep in mind, we are 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant at this point. We order our food when the first round of drinks come (1 salad and 7 entrees) which is about 530. We ask for a bottle of wine and we are told “we aren’t doing bottles tonight, we’ve been booked for 3 months and just can’t do it”. So we can order unlimited glasses of wine but not bottles??? At 620 we still don’t have any food, not even the salad and we ask about it. We are told 5 min more. 6:30 we ask for the check and let her know we need our food, she returns with the check for just 2 of our party. We have to explain that we want the whole check. By the way, still no food. 6:40 some of the salad and some of the entrees arrive. 6:50 the last of the entrees arrive. At this point, the lights are going out at howelson hill and we all have to inhale our food and rush to make it across the bridge. No manager came to see us, nothing comped, and our night filled with stress and questionable food quality.

So terrible. Had a reservation but there were only 10 other people there. Very empty but warm on a cold night so we sat. Waited 30 minutes for service before going to the bar for a couple bottles of wine. The bartender was surprised no one had come to serve us. She let us taste a couple things but they had a minimal selection. We got one bottle, returned to the table and waited another 15 minutes to see our server. We were served an appetizer we did not order but some people in our party of 6 weren’t aware so they started eating it. We ordered one other app and the food was pretty tasty. We ended up leaving because they didn’t ever offer to take our dinner order but quickly brought us the check for two apps and a bottle of wine. They were out of a lot and was a really really bad experience. Would never go back and would never recommend.

They had limited jug wine and enough vodka for one drink The food was excellent though Cute place with great location Maybe the the purveyors are not extending them credit? So sad. It’s a nice family restaurant

We had a very friendly and helpful waiter. The food was quite bad. We live here in town but just a couple weeks ago we brought our kids and grandkids for an early dinner. Never again though. The portions were so small that even our 6 yr old granddaughter was still hungry .my three cheese pizza had the nastiest tasting cheese I’ve ever had and I love cheese. Our waiter was prompt, Curtis , and quite fun. He should work some place in town that he can serve the food he deserves to serve.

It took very long for the server to come over. The table next to us got up and left since the server did not come for over 10 minutes. Portions were small and cold and service was really bad. We had been their 2 Times in summer and it was OK. This was a very poor experience
