Jong's Restaurant - Stayner

Have never had a bad meal hereI always have take out when I go to Jongs.

I always dislike going into restaurants that are empty at lunchtime, especially when you pass by other options that are more fully patronized. Jong's came yup positive on Trip Advisor and we fancied Chinese food for lunch - so in we went.We were greeted by a friendly lady who sat us down and brought us menus. We opted for the lunch special for two. It was a good offer with multiple dishes: soup, egg roll and three main dishes. The soup was excellent and the egg roll was home made and with fresh ingredients. The main dishes, pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and spring vegetables with almonds were all very tasty and the portion bigger than we could manage. The tea was also delicious, not a tea bag in sight.We felt that this is restaurant that makes an effort to produce traditional Chinese cuisine in the traditional way - a good model for other similar restaurants in small towns like Stayner, keep it fresh and tasty and people will come.

Craving Chinese food for take away after a hard day on the slopes? This is really good fresh Chinese to pick up, pay cash and bring home to have infront of the fire.

We've been going to Jongs for years. Have tried all local Chinese but always return. Although they slipped slightly a few years ago they swung it around and fixed the issues. Highly recommend them.
