Mandarin House - Staten Island

They gave me a hard time talking about I didn 't pay and I had to pay cash. I walked in got my food on the counter and I asked if they take tap so I can pay. The lady at the front said yes and I proceeded to pay. On my phone it said it got approved and they took my money. Idk what happen that the lady was talking about problems with tablet bc it was new and she wasn 't saying much. I didn 't complain at first bc I understand things happen. She proceeds to call her boss or something like that and then tell me she 's gonna call you. I 'm all confused and say who and I get a call from Mandarin House and the lady on the other line talking about that I didn 't pay. I have to pay cash. I called the wrong restaurant(even tho my food was right in-front of me). Stating that I said I was gonna pay cash that I have to pay again in cash. Mind you that i already paid I should 've just got my food and left bc y 'all took my money already. I start telling her I never said that that I got 2 screenshots saying I got charged and money is already gone and just hangs up. Fast forward she starts calling the lady again and a guy proceeds to tell me that no receipt it ok I 'm like ok if anything happens I 'm calling the bank. Bc they wanted me to pay again. First time I 've ever dealt with some bs like this at this restaurant after ordering from here 3+years had me in there for almost 20 min.

I found a dead roach in my food. I will NEVER order from this restaurant again. It's disgusting. When I reached out to the owners, the said I was lying. I would never eat at this dirty place again!!!!! Check your food before you eat it!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would !I ordered chicken wings with fries and shrimp with fried rice. 1st red flag i asked did they charge for bbq sauce the man in the back looks at the women and shakes his head yes for her to tell me they do (at this point I know they were lying). Red flag #2 after my shimp order was done she put it away and didn't let me check the quality of the food the same man proceeds to walk over to her an whisper in her ear something. Red flag #3 my chicken and fries come out the fries are clearly over cooked and a nasty brown looking color as if the oil hasn't been filtered or changed in a while. I asked for a new batch of fries to go with my chicken all over a sudden they dont speak English and dont understand what im asking for. So after 5 minutes of trying to explain that the quality of my fries are bad and them acting like they dont understand anything im telling them (but understood me when I ordered) I left without the food. They seem like very shady sneaky trifling people. I dont want them handling my food. I Would not recommend this place to anybody I had the worst experience.

Food is great. Menu change a little, not surprising. Was disappointed they don't offer a free 2lt soda with the $30+ orders.
