We love the potato pancakes, pierogies, jumbo pretzel, homemade Wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten, Schwerinshaxe, lastly the Apple strudel. The beer and liquor selection is very nice and the staff is wonderful. Service is attentive and slow but so worth it.
My wife and I went here for dinner. The sauerbraten was not sour; it was sweet. We ordered the spinach salad with the hot bacon dressing. The salad did not have any spinach and the dressing was not bacon 'y . The service was okay. Our server, Kayla, started out attentive but after I was honest about our dinner, the attention dropped off dramatically how many servers bring the check without a pen for you to use when signing the check? Two appetizers, two sauerbraten, two glasses of wine, one beer, one soda and two desserts was $200 with a modest tip. The restaurant is 30 minutes from our home but we will not be back.
Barely edible. The waitress never checked on how the appetizer was during . Walked by and picked up my app plate without a word. It was decent so fine The main course veal schnitzel came with an unedible pile of mush noodles that tasted like yesterday ramen. The schnitzel itssef was barely edible and i was hoping to drown it in mashed potatoes figuring they arent making things to order anyway, and how bad could that be but she never came back so i choked them down after a while and after 15 min she finally decided to stop by to collect my plate again without inquiry of how the food was. I guess she knows it's terrible and i got my check. Barely made it to the front door before my stomach sent me to the bathroom to reject what i was hoping would at least count as calories
Delicious. Highly recommend the jumbo pretzel with beer cheese and the chicken schnitzel. The restaurant was absolutely empty. One other table for two was filled. Shocking for a Friday evening. People began showing up around 9pm. The live music was enjoyable. Our server was more than happy to allow any substitutions for sides included with our entrees.
This is the place to go for great German food! It’s interesting decorating inside and out too. The service was okay. If you’re looking for beer, then this is also a great place to get one. We tried a sausage platter and it was tasty! For the next time I will try pretzel and potato pancakes, someone said we must try this) On Friday night there was a live music performance. It was very pleasant to listen to popular hits and it added a good impression on the atmosphere in this restaurant.
