Fresh Tortillas - Staten Island

This is a straightforward Mexican restaurant that offers all the classic dishes. The food is tasty and very reasonably priced. The establishment is clean, which is a plus. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because while the food is good, it doesn't quite reach greatness.

I've been getting the same dish here for around twenty years and I'm always worried the quality isn't going to live up to the nostalgia but it does. It just does. Every time. I don't know how they do it. Personally the only thing I want when I come back to Staten Island is Fresh Tortillas, specifically the black bean nachos with shrimp, jalapeños and cheese. And a Mandarin Jarritos. Then you've got to go a few doors down to get a scoop of ice cream, but that's a story for another review. I've never seen somebody unhappy with their meal here. Pick your favorite dish, don't take my word for it. Bon Appétit!

I’m not sure how they manage it, but it’s impressive. I ordered a chicken and steak quesadilla, but this is what we received. I called to address the issue, but they refused to correct the order, even after I offered to return the item. Unfortunately, I won't be contacting them again. I've been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has soured me on their customer service.

Fantastic sushi restaurant! Among all the sushi places I've visited, Chikurin is the only one that serves sweet potato rolls HOT! When you order a certain quantity of sushi, they present it on various plates—I even had a beautiful boat-shaped platter. Every roll I've tried has been delicious! I have no complaints whatsoever.
