Dough By Licastri - Staten Island

Ordered the grandma pie for myself. Dont know if it was a mistake, or intentional, but the crust was very well done, but tasted unbelievable. Proceeded to eat the whole pie myself, along with two rice balls, then spent the rest of the week fantasizing about the grandma pie again. Its definitely a G.I.L.F. But seriously, they have the most underrated food and pizza in staten island.

We came here the day after New Years as our usual pizza spot was closed. We ordered a large traditional cheese pie for takeout. The pizza was ready in 30 minutes and was hot.The pizza looked okay and smelled yummy. Unfortunately, it was sub-par at best. The pizza sauce was very vinegar and had a sour taste. Each bite of pizza should include a bit of bread, sauce and cheese. That wasn't the case here. It was like they put a bit of cheese on some parts and then sauce on the other. I am not sure why they made the pizza like that especially a traditional cheese pizza. The crust was pretty dry and subpar at the best.I am not sure if this pizza spot is only known for their specialty pies but, their traditional pie is trash.

My original order was less then satisfactory. After leaving a post They went out of their way to make up for it and professionally relay their apologies for my initial experience. The second order was amazing, I can see why others in my workspace had recommended it to me. Definitely will order again!! Thank you!
