Red Hut Cafe - Stateline

This is a great restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was served hot and fresh, and the coffee was excellent. We enjoyed scrambled eggs with sausage and hash browns, and everything was delicious. They offer a wide selection of menu items, and the place was well-maintained and clean. I highly recommend it, and the prices were quite reasonable.

Kingsbury location. Service was sleepy slow , food was decent nothing to write home about we had to ask the hostess to send our waitress over so we could order after being seated for 20 minutes . We waited over 1/2 hour to get our food once ordered.Mind you the waitress had not returned to ask if we needed anything or an update on our breakfast status, another waitressfinally delivered our breakfast not a big deal no one came by to ensure our food was to our liking!! Again had to ask thebuss staff for more coffee. Still haven?t seen our waitress. We finished our meal and waited another 20 minutes before havingto request a to go box and our check, which took another 10 minutes to get , I paid at the register and that took over 10minutes to complete. Not sure what is going on at this location but we will not be back. Staff seemed very unmotivated,uncaring and just appeared to not wanting to be there. As a side note, when we arrived there were 2 spots open at the bar whichwe were very willing to take . The hostess responded that they perter to have one seat between guests. However during ourtime there people came and left the bar with no empty seat between guests. I?m so confused why we couldn?t have sat there whenthey clearly don?t follow their own rules. Very disappointed!

My husband and I ordered our usual, while the kids enjoyed the Mickey Mouse pancakes, gravy biscuits, and a meal with one egg, toast, and bacon. Everything was fantastic! I'm from Southwest Virginia and I tend to be very particular about gravy and biscuits, as many people struggle to make them properly, but they did an outstanding job! We would definitely return if we visit Lake Tahoe again. Plus, it was also very affordable!

This was my second visit to the Red Hat Cafe, and I ended up leaving another restaurant because I was eager to enjoy their amazing breakfast. The French toast is fantastic, and the biscuits and gravy, chicken-fried steak, and of course the coffee and service are all excellent as well.
