Rotelli Pizza Pasta - State College

Do not order the delivery from this place. every time I have ordered from here, the delivery has at least two hours. our latest order lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes. eating is always cold and sub par. I don't know why they continue to offer delivery if they can't deliver food. Overall, with this place I experienced some of the worst culinary experiences of my life. the dunes in the food is just okay, nothing great. bottom line: there are so many better places to get food from in state college.

Came here for pasta before my track meet. But it took 25 minutes for our house salads and bread to come out. Then our main entrees came out literally one minute after our salads. And we didn't have any silverware by the time our salads came out. It didn't help that we were starving from a 3 1/2 hour bus drive but the service was still mediocre. The pasta was sub par, as well as the salad. We were so hungry we just dealt with it, but we definitely won't be coming back here next time we have a meet here.

Rotelli has the WORST delivery service in the area. We ordered a salad and a Mac Cheese and took an 1.5 hours to have it delivered. We live out on N. Atherton (so about 5 minutes away since everywhere in State College is about 5 minutes from downtown) and there is no reason that it should have taken 1.5 hours to get our delivery on a non-football Sunday night. Then, to add insult to injury, my husband's food was cold to the touch and looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamps just waiting. We will NOT be ordering from them again!! It is obvious that the owner/manager does not care at all about the quality of the food and customer service. We will make sure to tell everyone we know about our more than below average experience at Rotelli.

Honestly, I have had better frozen Italian meals than this. And this was possibly the worst food I've ever eaten out. Our drinks came with little ice. We received 3 pieces of bread, one per person and the pieces were 2 bites worth. The salad lettuce looked two days old, and they only had creamy Italian dressing and vinaigrette dressings. I got the chicken parm. It was a dry cutlet with soggy breading. The cheese was not fresh mozzarella. The pasta was at least cooked. My friend got the sampler, which was as pre-fab as my chicken parm. The sausage was full of fennel and the manicotti was well undercooked. Finally, we got the stuffed chicken and it was undercooked and rubbery. Additionally the portions were small. Our 9$ calamari appetizer was about 16 pieces. That at least was cooked alright. Overall it was extremely lackluster and disappointing. I'm going to instead eat Michelangelo frozen Italian dinners instead of wasting gas to come here. 10/23/2013

A word of caution never order delivery from Rotelli. Your experience will be terrible the first time, but eventually, you 'll want to order again. And you will. It quickly becomes like an abusive relationship. You make excuses for them It 's been a year since that awful time we waited three hours for a pizza, I 'm sure they 've improved. I bet they have new management now! They handled my complaint so well, they 'll get my order here this time! They won 't. Two and a half hours, my clock tells me. Two and a half hours have passed and they haven 't called, haven 't emailed. They won 't. Eventually, a haggard deliveryman will knock on the door and peddle his lukewarm wares. The tip, already paid on the card, will glare at me mockingly. Do yourself a favor and heed my warning. Don 't get locked into a cycle of terrible service, sub par food, and morbid curiosity. Never, ever buy from Rotelli.
