I paid 110 kuna for a small appetizer portion and left feeling hungry. In other restaurants, a portion of pasta with vegetables is around 60-70 kuna and much larger in size.
There were limited vegan options available on the menu, with the vegetarian risotto being the only main course choice. In addition, we had kartoffels, brot, and vegetables as our sides. There were only two restaurants in Stari Grad listed on the app, with one closed and the other no longer offering vegan options (Bistro Kod Damira). So we decided to explore and stumbled upon "Kod Barba Luke" restaurant, a traditional Croatian restaurant specializing in fish and meat. However, after speaking with the staff, they prepared a delicious vegan dinner for us. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including olives and homemade bread, grilled vegetables, spinach with potatoes, and a Mediterranean risotto with vegetables in a tomato sauce. The meal was so amazing that we plan to return. It was a perfect dining experience with views of the harbor. We highly recommend it.
The servers were very knowledgeable about the gluten-free options on the menu. They explained that all fish, meat, and pasta were gluten-free.
I had dinner at this restaurant and I highly recommend it. The price per person is above 500 kn. The food was excellent, I would rate it a 5 out of 5. The service was also top-notch, I would give it a 5 as well. The atmosphere was nice, I would rate it a 4. Overall, a great dining experience.
