Irrawady has been on my list for years. I am glad to say that only the food, but also the service exceeded my expectations. The tea leaf salad was great. I am not a big salad person, but the texture from all different nuts was very unique and the dressing was beautiful and light. My FAVORITE article was by far the pork and pumpkin stew. The pig was super delicate and not fat and the pumpkin was enormously tasteful. There are so many things on the menu that I still want to try.
The first time this Burmese restaurant in OC tries. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and the service was attentive and good. The desert Par Lu Dar was refreshingly good. We'll try other dishes again.
We've been happy since our trip to San Francisco to Aomori Burmese. This was on our list for a while, so we decided to finally visit. Service was fast and super friendly. We took time to decide what to get and our server was so patient with us. The food was delicious. We ordered Mandalay Noodles, Falafel, Tea Leaf Salad, Sweet Basil Beef, Auberginen Curry and Coconut Rice. My favorite was the curry. It's very excited that we have a Burmese restaurant here in OC. I will definitely be back and introduce family and friends to this restaurant and this kitchen.
Burmese cuisine at its best on Orange County. The dishes are authentic and taste really good. Some of the dishes have Indian cuisine influences and they are done very well balancing the tastes. Lots of vegetarian options and also a good selection of traditional Burmese meat dishes. I had Ah Sone Thote which reminded me of the Atho I used to eat in Chennai. Service is always ?.
