The Custard Stand Flatwoods

Love their chili dogs, great service, friendly staff, highly recommend!

We stopped by for a West Virginia hot dog and a custard. The hot dog was good but the chili was non-starter. Average at best. The custard is good.

Advertised as a hot dog stand, we were rather disappointed. Tiny hot dogs on tiny buns. But the soft ice cream was good!

Good food! Awesome Ice Cream! No indoor dining room but fun place to grab a meal on occasion!

So many flavors!! Apparently you can ask for samples which would’ve been awesome to know beforehand, and would have been kind of the staff to offer when I asked what the pistachio nut tasted like. But they weren’t very helpful at all. The girl at the counter barely spoke. Typical high schoolers too shy to talk or maybe just don’t care. Idk. Kind of disappointing experience as far as service. Other than that—pretty good custard. Great flavors and texture on a hot summer day.
