The Stillery Restaurant Bar - Stamford

Food was nothing to brag about. We sat outside on the enclosed deck which was dirty and worn. The service was very slow, we were there for for over two hours and just had a burger and a shrimp roll. The waiter was very nice but over overwhelmed because he was the only one and was very new. Will not be going back.

It was mediocre at best. The Brussels sprouts arrived first and were the worst I've ever had – barely cooked and lacking any flavor. The mac and cheese came later and was fantastic, but the pizza was just okay, also lacking in flavor. I was more concerned about the dust and dirt around the glasses and above the bar. Additionally, the bathroom was surprisingly dirty for a place that considers itself to be higher class.

I ordered two steak dinners with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, a rib dinner with sweet potato fries, chicken niblets, and onion soup. The steak was very bland, and I had to add salt and smoked maple seasoning to enhance the flavor. The sweet potato fries were burnt, and the ribs were just okay. The onion soup tasted like watered-down broth with some onions. I won't be returning.

The Pebble Beach wedge was outstanding. The Caesar salad was nice, though it had a bit too much dressing for my taste. They had run out of crispy coleslaw, so I’m still wondering what that's like. The outdoor atmosphere with a view of the golf course was fantastic. I will definitely return!
