Lion House Tea Room

We had great food with great service at this gem of a location in Leek. This was our first try of Staffordshire oatcakes and we loved them so much as well as the tea rooms that we returned for some more. The staff were really friendly and helpful and helped with serving our large party of a mix of ages wonderfully.

I recently visited this restaurant in search of an afternoon tea and cake before heading to our hotel. It is a charming tea room with welcoming and attentive staff. We chose to have tea and scones with clotted cream, which were delightful. I adored the unique china that the food and drinks were served in. I highly recommend visiting this place, as it is a wonderful way to begin a weekend getaway.

My partner and I recently stumbled upon this charming and unique tea room while looking for a place to grab a bite on our way to a hotel. The tea room itself is absolutely stunning, the staff were incredibly helpful, and the food was simply delicious. We ordered a tuna sandwich that was made with incredibly fresh bread, a ham and cheese toastie with thick and flavorful ham, and some homemade scones that were warmed up for us and tasted superb. The tea was served in adorable eclectic china cups, and the walls were decorated with unique artwork. We highly recommend this hidden gem of a tea room and although we are not locals, we would definitely make the trip back.

My sister and I had lunch here today,our first visit.The staff were lovely and the cafe has a welcoming feel. We both ordered the turkey ,stuffing and cranberry roll,(mine on gluten free bread).It was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.A large teapot to share, which was very welcome! Nice little Christmas touches in the crockery! Well done to the Lion tearoom ,we will be back!
