Hill Top Cottage - Stafford

Visiting family and this was the nearest Chinese Takeaway. No online menu or website. Walked in and faced with a no walk in signs. Explained that I couldnt phone and order if I didnt know what was availible. So order was grudgingly taken. Sat in the car till ready. Got it home and it was average at best. Noodles burnt and awful black bean sauce. Chicken balls doughy and underdone. Waste of time and money. Avoid

Excellent Chinese as always.beef in black bean and king prawn and mushroom. Chicken and ginger. Very good.

Hilltop never disappoints, thanks for a great Christmas Eve takeaway, always delicious. Only niggle is the price increase again but we always return and have a nice takeaway.

The restaurant down the road offers much better takeout options. It is also the most expensive one in the area. When I inquired about the higher prices,

Thought I’d have another go at this place! Wish I hadn’t I don’t know if it’s Chinese or not but it’s over priced and is no where near the quality of the other local Chinese takeaways!
