When we were there in low season, the place was full of locals, a real hangout. They smoke on the front steps, and occasionally some smoke wafts in. Prices are reasonable, about 14 euros for the net, and drinks are inexpensive. Service was very good, and the ambience was casual, but cozy.
The Ole Hoovn is a little of the past. It is really old-fashioned, no trendy seating, simply comfortable chairs at simple tables. But whatever it is lacking in 'Trend', it has noodles of class when it comes to food and service. The food was absolutely top class, but with up to earth prices. The fish dishes we ate were made 100% at home and tasted just as good as the best fish you ever tasted. It has limited seating (maybe for 20? , so the service is personal and complete to your needs. We only discovered this place on our last day, we had known before that we had eaten here every day.
A rustic decor, not many tables, a totally nice, friendly service and tasty eating to a small cure!
Have chosen this locally on Saturday due to the external impression and have not been disappointed. original, nice service, good beer and tasty eating. all harmonious. have been reserved for the next day. try out. not exclusive, not expensive, not Schicki-Micki. Just good.
By coincidence we found this nice local and the menu was very tempting. 4 different fish dishes have absolutely convinced us, service and athmosphere were very good. as a day in stade a successful evening.
