Scoops Brew - St Thomas

We had to wait near this restaurant to catch the ferry to and from St. John. They offer non-dairy milks for coffee and smoothies, which is great. However, when we visited, they only had one vegan ice cream flavor and no sorbets. The flavor was pink peppercorn mint, not particularly appealing to me. Someone in our group tried it and, although it wasn't as bad as expected, it still wasn't to my liking.

The employees at this restaurant were extremely friendly and willing to check ingredient lists for their waffle cones and pastries to see if they were vegan (unfortunately, they were not, but they occasionally have vegan options). They offer 2 vegan gelato flavors: chocolate and peanut butter. We tried both flavors in a cup and a shake and they were delicious! The employee mentioned that the gelato base is made with soy milk. They also offer vegan sorbets, but we did not try them. For smoothies, they have hemp milk, coconut milk, and soy milk available as options.

I was thrilled to find a restaurant that offered vegan gelato on their menu! I ordered the coconut gelato affogato and enjoyed it at a charming cafe with outdoor seating and games, located right by the marina.
