Essenza At The Ritz-carlton, St. Thomas

The food was mediocre, at best. However, the service was very good and accommodating. The menu selection was rather limited.

I spent a week at the Ritz in St. Thomas with my wife and daughters, who are 24 and 22. We primarily dined at the hotel, and the food was excellent. While I found the prices a bit high—especially the wine list—it is the Ritz, after all. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and the limoncello was especially great!

The service was outstanding and the food was delicious! Although we didn't make use of the patio seating, we truly enjoyed the atmosphere in the main dining room.

We were disappointed to find out that they no longer served the lasagna, which was the best! Very limited menu and not a lot of pasta on the menu which is what you would expect at an Italian restaurant. So we ordered the pizza which was good.

For being a Ritz Carlton restaurant I thought the food was subpar. Since it is an Italian restaurant I thought I would order the pasta with seafood in a light tomato sauce. I should have ordered something else. The pasta was not cooked properly and the seafood did not seem fresh at all. The sauce was light but only because it seemed watered down. Seems like my dish had been made a few hours ago. Overall I was highly disappointed in this Ritz Carlton restaurant.
