Omas Schnitzel Stube - St-Pierre-Jolys

We went here after being told by a friend that they had really good schnitzel. We ordered 3 meals, schnitzel with ham and cheese on top with pan fries, the regular schnitzel with potato salad, and the rouladen. The salad that came with the schnitzel was amazing, the dumplings that came with the rouladen were tasty too. I thought all the meat was a bit dry but still good flavours.

Very European food. The staff and owner are friendly and fun. The building is scary when step in but the food makes up for it. Good prices, good people, good food makes it a good time.

Worth the trip, imho. A great place to go and do a mini-road trip with friends!<br/ <br/ The buffet is small and modest compared to Gasthaus Gutenburger, but what was served was absolutely delicious. Schnitzel? Perfectly cooked. Spaetzle? Yum. The salads were delectable too. Meatballs, roast, chicken... all great and I went for seconds, that's for sure.<br/ <br/ If you're vegetarian or vegan, probably not the best place because it's mostly meat-based dishes.

An enjoyable evening with the family. We took our spouses and parents out for dinner around 6pm one evening, having called ahead for reservations. We all enjoyed the buffet. The schnitzel had a citrus flavour that hit the spot. The gravy goes well with the spaetzle. My wife really enjoyed the garlic shrimp. She also liked the cake.. not overloaded with sugar like your local supermarket. Drivers excluded, we each tried a pint of german beer. If you're driving through this part of Manitoba, I would recommend giving it a try.

Go for the buffet!. Friday and Saturday evenings they have a huge smorg and there is much to try! My Opa and Oma LOVE this place and Opa says it's German food like he's never had in Canada before. Even better than some parts of Germany!<br/ <br/ While I'm not a huge fan of (cooked) fish, their fish is amazing. The schnitzel, obviously, is to die for. Just about everything here is wonderful. <br/ <br/ My husband loved the roast beef so well he actually got two more pieces for dessert instead of something sweet.<br/ <br/ The price is about $13-$15 per person for the buffet, reasonably priced, for sure! Kids may be a bit cheaper. And the woman who owns the place is lovely too. They are very kind.<br/ <br/ It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it!<br/ <br/ Enjoy!
