Oma's Schnitzel Stube - St-Pierre-Jolys

The burger is no longer as good as it used to be and the restaurant doesn't provide good value for the price.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious no matter what dish you choose.

I had an amazing burger at Cadillac. This old school restaurant has a cool, hip bar. The waitress even reassured me, saying "Don't worry, too much bacon never killed anyone." It was a funny and enjoyable experience.

Made reservations for 6 PM on Saturday. We were seated as soon as we got in. It being our first visit there we all decided on the smorgasbord. We were not disappointed with our choice. The food was awesome and the beer was nice and cold. We will definitely go back again.

We arrived about 6:30 on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. There was a table for 3 and a group of 12 already seated so I was concerned that we might have to wait for service & the meal. The owner came soon after we arrived & took our order for wine. The menu includes some off-dry German white wines which we enjoy. It also includes some German beer, which we didn't try. Prices for both the wine and beer are reasonable. We didn't have to wait long before she came for our meal order. My wife ordered the senior's Jaeger Schnitzel with spaetzle (small noodle-like dumplings), and I ordered the Schweizer Schnitzel with spaetzle. The owner made sure I wanted the spaeztle as there was no sauce with my order & she thought I might find the spaetzle dry. (I do like plain spaetzle.) The meal started with an unusual salad featuring some lettuce, cooked beets and potato, shredded carrot, cucumber, and tomato. It was very good. We received our meals in good time, before the group of 12 was served. The schnitzels were huge, about double the size I expected and my wife's was only slightly smaller. Both my wife and I thought our meals were very good and we agreed when we sampled each other's meal. I rarely am unable to finish a meal in a restaurant but I took almost half of my meal home with me, as did my wife. Sadly we were too full to have one of the German desserts. The only criticism that we might have is that all the schnitzels are pork and my wife would have liked a chance to have ordered some type of veal schnitzel.
