John’s Pizza Cafe - St Paul

HEADS UP VEGETARIANS!!! If you order a plain cheese pizza with wild rice on it, or a hog in the bog with no sausage , the wild rice still has sausage mixed in. I have no idea why. It 's not indicated as such on the website and several employees *do not know* that the wild rice comes with sausage mixed in and cannot be included separately as vegetarian. This is my one and only complaint and it breaks my heart because everything else is awesome but this lack of communication around seemingly vegetarian-safe ingredients is quite frankly a health risk.

I absolutely love eating here. The food is fantastic, so many options, and the service is great.

This is a solid casual pizza joint, and the burgers are pretty good, too. Great fries and waffle style sweet potato fries. I gave the food 3 stars because it doesn't travel well. Ordered take out the other night, and the fries were tepid and soggy when I got home which is literally just down the street.

One of the best pizza places in St. Paul, if not the Twin Cities. Try the Chick-a-dilly pizza or a calzone!

I have been eating here since 2005 when they were on the other side of the intersection. Food is always good, service has always been friendly. Nice mom and pop kinda place. Pizza by the slice at lunch is super convenient.
